Job Summary

Security Agents  control aircraft access and aircraft ramp access, check ID’s of the staff want to go on board   aircraft and verify that all personnel requiring access have right to board aircraft to prevent any unauthorised entry. Also, security agent verifies that all persons gaining ramp access had right to service the aircraft.

Initially this is a 30 hours per week requirement. Additional hours may be available if operationally required.

Job Responsibilities 

The following responsibilities are associated with this job role:  

    Do not leave the aircraft unattended at any time Checking ID cards of staff want to go on board aircraft or ramp Ensure that any staff approaching the aircraft are in possession and wearing ID cards Ensure that all required documents would be filled correctly Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager Comply with all UK/Ireland/EU legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements Comply with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) Maintain the highest standards of safety and security at all times Other duties as assigned

The list is not exhaustive and may vary depending on location and local customer requirements. However, the relevant training will be provided, essential to carry out the job.

Qualifications and Competencies

    Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and  public holidays) Good spoken and written English skills Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required Willingness to work in inclement weather Physically fit, able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift. Able to work as a team in a fast paced environment Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desired Ability to speak additional languages is desired Must hold a valid full UK Driving Licence

    Passport/Visa NI Card Proof of address (bank statement, utility bill or full driving license) 5 years’ work/education history with no gaps CRC/GSAT will be required CTC Clearance (residence in the UK at least for 3 years)
